50/50

Last night I got home, played madden, ate, had a little alone time with the g/f and then I was extremely tired. Monday after work is so hard because the weekends I tend to stay out until 4, or 4:30 am and I still wake up early from habit. So its hard to sleep sunday and I wake up at 5:30 for work daily. So i looked and I decided I was gonna play a sng and I remembered that I wanted to try the 50/50s so I did. I 1 tabled a 1.08 50/50 lol. The best part was I played 1 hand from the button like 4th level I raised with 5 7 hh and get one caller he checked on an Ace high flop, I bet and won and was up to 1700 in chips. Now these have 3 minute levels so people are going out left and right. I didn't play another single hand and made a 40 cent profit. I'm not saying its a lot but all I did was press fold about 25 or so times. I will do more research on this tonight. I am very interested to see if I could make profit by basically playing nothing but in great position 1 or 2 times a tourney or just playing top hands. I will update.

I played some Limit holdem this weekend a lost a little bit of money. I enjoyed it though its a lot less stressful than plo. I was able to play 6 tables super easy. I have quite a few leaks, but after I work out the kinks I know I can win and play at least 10 tables if not more. p.s. Im playing .50-1 so its not too high. I do earn ok vpp per hour it should be going up with the tables I play. I will update, thanks BUng

Bookshelf construction

I learned something this year on like january 4th. That lesson was that in order to properly assemble something you purchase u must follow the instructions. I am notorius for opening up a box full of shit to put together and instantly being overwhelmed. This January my mom and I assembled my treadmill, and it only took 2 hours. HAHA only I thought it would take like 1 hour tops, but there were 1000 parts when I opened it up. I am someone that likes to rush stuff, like I cant stand playing games with people that dont pay attention or move super slow, I want instant let down or satisfaction. Since then I have assembled a workout machine, a chair, and last night my g/fs bookshelf. There is a certain feeling you get after assembling something, its quiet gratifying. There is that certain feeling you get when you finish somethings its like nothing else in the world.
In other news I played no poker, instead I built the bookshelf and watched jersey shore then watched bball and went to sleep.
Also I read a blog called like baglifepoker its about a live poker player who quit his job like 5-6 months ago to play 1-2 full time and also online a little and move up in stakes. I really liked his blog until recently. I realized how bitter live cash grinders really are, at least he is. If someone has to say "I'm a good person," or "I'm not a bad guy." That usually means you are not the kind of person you want to be. I will never tell someone that I'm a good guy or a bad guy, get to know me and make up your own mind. People saying they are good instead of showing it is a pet peeve of mine and is lame. Ok well I have to go continue teaching the youth of america.

Well I did do my taxes, get my hair cut, and get an oil change in the last two days. So I view that as a success. However I played 5 6-mans and lost all of them. I cannot tell you how I ran in those, it was discusting. Like having j10 suited in bb and getting minraised by the dealer I call. I 10j4 rainbow flop I check he bets I reraise a lot he calls. Next comes a 5 and I go all in to his call with AK and gets the gut shot. Next table over I get kings and had around 12 bbs dealer raised I reraised all in he calls with Q10 off suit. I was like sweettt, flop 101010 wtf. So last night I played a little plo .10 and lost again, I just cant seem to focus on that game. I did play 3 275 vpp satties for the sunday storm and managed to win 2 tickets, which is 22 T$. I am not sure what I will play with those, but I will find something I know. Thanks Bung

1 time please

I am going to try to play more poker starting probably a little tonight and more tomorrow, because i have to get a hair cut tonight and get my oil changed. I want to play more because I wanna hit one of the milestone hands. If I could hit a milestone hand and boost my bankroll I would be so happy!!!!!!

I am pathetic

I played like 4 sessions and am down to 692. I had one day of dumb play/tilt where I didnt feel like playing, buy for some dumbass reason did. In other news I havent been eating fast food or drinking soda for 2 weeks now so that good. But during my spring break I enjoyed quite a few adult beverages that im sure didnt help the caloric count for those days. Also, I need a new job. One where I can make money, like actually money. I wish I knew people that could help me get a better job, but all my friends and people I know are like firefights, cops, still in school, or bums. I need to make connections that I havent yet. Any suggestions?

work work work, oh spring break nvm

I had to work 14 hours yesterday and the same today, so poker is not on the menu. However I am off for like 10 days for spring break. That means poker and hopefully lots of it. I am not sure when I'm gonna add a 4th table of plo but it should be soon. I think the max amount of tables I will play is 6 and I will try to always improve my play and move up in stakes. I'd rather play 6 tables to my best then grind out 20 and not fully think about my choices. Also a lot of blogs I read they make a good amount of money at like 1/2 holdem 20+ tables but they never move up. I'd rather not get to like 1/2 or 2/4 plo and just get stuck there because of all of my tables. Thats just how I think. Also I am going to be starting our madden season again tonight. Season 2 hopefully with a better outcome.

Little bit of poker

I went to the g/fs house last night and hung out with her for a few hours. I went home around 9 and played for around an hour. I played my 3 tables and played pretty ok. It wasnt great, but you dont have to play great to win at this level. Anyways I was almost done before this and happened. I was small blind and up around 12 bucks at this table, the dealer makes it .30 which hes been doing all hour and I was annoyed by him already. I call and the flop comes Q88 and I had Q8 so I bet like 50 he reraises minimum. I was a little suspiscious at first. The turn was a blank so I checked and he bet pot, and I knew he had qq the only hand that could beat me, I could just feel it. I mean I was 100% sure but i flipping move all in, he calls and I lose. Long story short I had almost no big hands I had to steal a lot of pots and only got caught once. I made a few hero calls i think I went 2/3 on those and I won a little over 3 dollars lol. I have a long 13 hour day because of teacher conferences tonight so I wont be playing tonight, well maybe. Anways the roll is at 727 and some change. I started with 500 like 3 weeks ago maybe, so I feel that I am making good progress with my br and it feels good to not be so nervous because I have 70+ buyins.

It's Fat Tuesday

Today is fat tuesday and its the last day that I will drink a soda or eat fast food for the next 40 days. OMG thats long, I have a love affair with soda and fast food, but workout so much that I stay in good shape. Whenever I give up those things though my body feels fresh and looks so much better that I wonder why I dont give up those things forever? Oh ya im addicted duh. Well enough inner dialogue on to the poker front. I played from about 5 to 6 last night while playing with my sisters 2 and half month old baby, Shes adorable and laughs really cute. In my session I started out calling so light and pushing in such questionable spots that I find myself with 3 outs. Anyways I then tilted a little for like 5 bucks which is half a buyin but then things started changing. I kept plugging away and making big bets and big pots and playing in position (which has to be the most important thing in plo) and it just paid off dearly. So many times in plo people are on a draw so that you have extract that money from them on flop and turn because it may not be there on the river. Anyways long story short I lost a few coin flips where I'd have top set and they would have like super open ended straight draw with flush draw and I'd lose it is pretty typical in plo. I won a few big ones and had a lot of non showdown winnings which is where I would love to be positive. I won 24 bucks and earned like 40 vpp. Most importantly I played really well for the last 40 minutes of my 60 minute session. I will play tonight as well oh and last night I played some mwf2 it just never gets old, I love it.

My weekend

I played my longest session of plo on friday night and had fun. When I played the cap games it was so swingy and I was always kind of ready for my session to end and always wanted to quit when I was up so that I couldnt lose it. On Friday night I played plo .10 full buying 3 tables again and it was fun. I played for almost 2 hours while my g/f was getting ready for us to go out. I started out down around 20 maybe a little more, but then I caught stride and played really aggressive post flop and wasnt afraid of losing or getting screwed because I have enough buyins and feel comfortable at my limit. I played around 300 hands a little more actually and my account stands at 700 which was up 20 bucks. That was a nice session and I got almost 50 vpps and played really good poker which is what matters. I felt like I was learning the whole time. Then I went out and Saturday me and like 20 of my friends went to soulard for mardi gras. Its huge in St. louis, like 500k people big, which is pretty sick. I did some boozing and saw some boobing lol. It was a really fun time and is something I look forward to every year. Well I should be playing tonight so I will update tomorrow either way.

plo .10 fullstacking

Well months ago I used to full stack at .5 and did really well at it but it just got old playing for literally nickels and dimes. I played about 100 hands of plo .10 2 tables last night and loved it. The first 20 hands or so I spewed like 12 bucks because the style is so different from the cap games. Then I started remembering how to play certain hands certain ways and it was fun. My buyin amount was all screwed up on one of the tables and I only bought in 6 bucks and didnt have auto rebuy on it was annoying so I quit messing with it. All of the sudden on that table I caught fire and was playing really aggro when I had a hand and my 6 bucks turned into 42. lol that 4 times the max buy-in its quite a bit for one table of plo .10. Anyways I had some fun and it was pretty easy. I did also play a plo sng heads up and get coolered for like 80% of my chips in the 4th hand. I ended up making like 17 bucks or 1.7 buyins and my BR is at 680 almost exactly. I will try to play with 3 tables this weekend and keep my full buyin with auto rebuy on to make the most of any hand. Also I know that I need to start playing longer sessions and I have made 100 vpps in the first 3 days of march and it will be declining because I earn barely any at my limit, but I'd rather make money and learn than get vpps. I will update again on MONDAY or maybe sunday.

Pissed off again

No I didn't log on, tilt, and lose money. Instead I get home from work and it was a nice day for a change so the g/f and I go for a nice walk and come back eat dinner, and watch the movie date night. Its with steve carell and its pretty funny if you like him and tina fey. Anyways at about 8:30 i log into pstars and notice that no plo games are running that I have filtered. They got rid of the cap games for plo....WTF didnt they just make those. I mean WTF I did not see that coming at all. So I send pstars a nice email inquired about it. I play 5 3.25 6 man sngs and get a first place but Don't cash in any other ones. So I lost like 5 bucks. I waited but didnt get the response and went home. I turned my laptop back on but no email or anything. I decided to go play some .25/.50 plo hu for fun. I stack this really bad guy 2 times for 20 dollar buyins. It was a 20-50 bb game. Then a new guy comes in we go back and forth and I end up winning like 42 bucks total. I am up to like 665 or something. I dont have the bankroll to cover the swings of plo hu right now so i probably wont play that. I will have to decide to take a shot at becoming good at the 50/50s which are fun, or play some full buyin .10 plo 6 handed until I win 50 buyins then I would move up.

The start of March

With Spring break being in march my goal is to achieve goldstar. I have only achieved silverstar once lol so this may be difficult.I started last night by playing 3 tables of plo. I was playing only 2 tables the last week so I'm going to try to keep adding them every week or two. Anyways I played 1 hour and about 195 hands, which is about double the hands I have been playing in a sesh. Lol my first 14 hands I had already been stacked 3 times, cap game is swingy. Then I got more aggressive and didnt get frustrated or tilted and made a nice little come back. I can think of a few spots where I leaked money with a loose call and a spot that I think the fold was the right play usually but this one time it wasn't which was tilting. Anyways I ended up breaking even ha, which is lame but way better than losing, and I'm glad I was able to play 3 tables pretty well. I just wish I could have those first 14 hands back. anyways in those almost 200 hands I only earned 52 vpps which is not the .42 vpps I am supposed to be getting for this limit of plo. Well it was a small sample size, but I am pretty confident that I can achieve gold star even if I only earn 50 vpps per hour, even though I should be playing 4 tables in 2 weeks so I will get at least 70 or more per hour which means about 80 minutes a day for the required 3000 vpps in a month. Will play tonight and update tomorrow.

Madden update

I didnt play any poker, my g/fs laptop broken so she used mine. I played my madden game in the playoffs, lost by 3 again. The game was too angering to recap, it just felt like I wasnt supposed to win. Anyways I watched the oscars sunday, they were pretty good. I get so sick of watching them with older people aka parents, because most older people always say it wasnt as good as it used to be. How can nothing be improving? Or like last years was better, but I remember them saying that last year, its beyond an annoyance. Then the critics talk shit on franco. He acted the same that he does in movies, did they expect different. Its his style of humor and hers as well. For some reason critics never like to see positive and are always running negative EV. Sucks to live that way. Well I will be alone tonight, so I will be playing. Thanks for reading
