Unhappy

Last week I was pretty happy with poker. I started playing .50 plo 20bb cap game and it was fun, I was winning a little and collecting the vpps. Then I find out the money I had deposited 5 days before never came in because my state no longer excepts echecks. Well the only other option I know of is to get some redic check and send it to some redic adress. I was pissed and said I'll turn my 50 bucks into 500 hundred. lol ya right. I played mad/tilted/got screwed hard. I played a few 45 mans and 90 mans .55c and got screwed so hard. First one of the 45 man I flop and ace with a flush draw he raises on flop I call then turn is blank he raises I go all in, he calls with pocket 8s and catches the miracle not hearted 8, wow. Then I have a good stack on another 45 man im in like 2nd of 17 and a loose player raises from the button I have kk so I reraise he goes all in I call he has aces. He almost had me covered. It was shit like that all night. I need to figure out how to get my 500 back online or I just wish I had stats to be backed so I wouldnt have to go through this depositing bs.

day 1 fail

So I played in the blogger even #2 last night and had two tables of plo .5 going. I played terrible plo, and the stakes were kinda too high for me having 53 dollars, the 5 dollar buy in was rough I lost like 9 dollars in that easy game, bad play/ bad luck on my part. The blogger tourney had like 700 people in it or something and was a complete joke. My table played 21 hands in the first hour, they took forever for preflop no raise folds. I mean maybe they were blogging/ making dinner/ looking at naughty things, whatever it was I was annoyed. I had basically the 3000 chip buy in when this hand happens. I limp in with K10 ss and its me and the blinds. Flop comes two small spades and they checked as did I because I wanted it to seem that I was disinterested. Next card spade, bingo sb raises I reraise he calls, then the spade on river we get all in and he had the Ace of spades, the only card that could beat me. UGh, and I was out like 500th place and a bad night it was. So I played some shortstack (its more fun the deepstack imo) plo .10 with 2 dollar buy ins and won like 2 dollars back, holla. Im thinking about playing some 6-man sngs tonight, I know the minimum is 3.25 but I feel i have such an edge in these I sould be able to give myself a boost. either way bankroll is at 46 and i need a good night tonight.

A New Challenge

I didnt lose my bankroll, well not really. I had done some withdrawling earlier and then last thursday deposited a certain amount so that I could play the plo .50 with a 20bb cap. Well i got an email this morning telling me that it didnt processes because of some error with e-checks depositing right now or some crap. Either way I have 53 dollars in my account right now and its time to put myself to a challenge. The challenge is to go from 50 dollars to 500 dollars in 50 days. I can play whatever I feel like and if I go bust im gonna play freerolls, im not gonna put more money into the site I decided. Also I have a goal to lose 25 pounds in those same 50 days. I will update the weight challenge either weekly or bi-weekly. Lastly I am going to withdrawal a few hundred from the bank (money I would have spent at pstars) and play live once a week. Probably thursdays, but thats not definite. I will write probably every weekday and not at all on the weekend so look for a bigger update on mondays.

Tying together some loose ends

First of all poker, I played a little this weekend, nothing really to report broke even through like 400 hands. Just getting used to the cap game, its pretty fun. I have 375 vpps this year, I need 750 this month for the stellar 10 dollars (stellar lol) and silver. That means I have 7 days to get to silver. I will get there 100% chance and then next month my goal is to get 3000 vpps. I have never gotten close to it, but its a new game with higher vpps, so I need a loftier goal. The school I work at is doing a biggest loser competition where you weigh in today, 5 weeks from now, and in 10 weeks is the final weigh in. Well I bought and assembled a treadmill 3 weeks ago because Ive noticed I have put on a little wieght after not working out in the park (its a hard workout with a boxing coach) and not going to the gym. I weighed 160 and had a four pack over the summer, I dont work summers teaching rocks, and ever since then my abs have turned into one ab and not in a good way. The scale said I weighed 184 pounds. WTF I have never weighed that ever, I am a muscular short 5"9 dude and have never weighed over 175. So its official Im a fatty. So I am going to take small steps to correct my eating habits, and big steps in working out starting this week. Im actually kinda excited that I weighed so much because I will be so motivated to lose it. I'm a sick person, I will start by no fast food.

Changes

Im gonna be making a few game changes here very soon, febuary to be exact. I am gonna be playing plo .25-.50 10$ cap. Ive already fooled around with it and I like it alot. Obviously variance will be a factor as many hands get to the cap, but the level of play is the same as .5 and also the vpps are way quicker. I will earn around 100 an hour playing 3-4 tables, which means my goals for this year will be different. I will be posting vpp goals instead of money goals, because it will force me to play instead of being a bum. I need to realize that online poker may not be here very long and I need to take advantage of it. I will post more specific goals after this weekend probably, because I have my g/f and mine 5th year annaversary this weekend. With that and football I Will be a busy boy. thanks, bung

LOL part 2

ugh, im down 50 dollars in 2 days, aka the new year. This blows and makes me once again want to change the type of game I am playing. I have like 1200 fpps, Im gonna play some fpp tourneys to try to win T$. Also, I remember playing some 2 dollar qualifiers for the sunday warm-up that were really soft, like I went 3 for 3 or so in them. I might load some of those up for fun. My goal is to get some T$ and then play some 18 and 45 man tourneys. I wish I was a little better at them, in the past I have been about break even, but maybe I'll get hot just maybe. I feel like most people don't blog when they are swinging downwards, but I kinda like it. I mean yeah I sucked and got sucked out on yesterday, but that makes me wanna play more today to make that money back. Motivate when I run kk into q10 suited and lose to flush. I will play hopefully a lot tonight, I have to workout when I get home.

ugly night

It's hard to get used to getting up at 530 and working out after work again, so I was tired while I was playing last night. Also, I was distracted and just not playing my a game. I was down like two bucks and I had like 110 bbs going into this hand. I have 810jq double suited and made it .17 to go. I got 3 bet to 35 and I called. I figured he had aces so I planned on cracking then. The flop came 79A rainbow, I checked and he bet pot. I knew he had a set but I was extremely open ended. The turn came jack, so I had the nuts and checked he pots, I go all in he called and river is another 7 for his boat. I should have quit there, but not today instead I went on to lose 3 more buyins and finish down 20 for the worst day of plo for me. Lately I have had a pattern of playing 6-man stts for a day or two while im winning but once I lose I go back to plo and once I have a losing session there I do the same. I like to mix it up to not get burned out. I think I will play some 6mans tonight and try to make some moneys.

New Year is here

So I had a nice 2 week break from work, and my last day at my second job. During this time I did play a little poker, but not nearly what I wanted. I played a few mttsngs and lost some money, but I made it back via plo and 6-man stts. I ended up making like 5 bucks lol. During this break from work I did work with my dad on rehabing this apartment. A lot of carrying stuff to dumpsters, painting, and removing carpet for me. I made about 700 bucks doing this but I wont get paid for a while from this, which is not a big deal. I did buy a treadmill with funds from christmas, yikes that was not fun putting it together. I also wanted to say that I will be changing my br to 25 buyins to move up and im playing 3 tables. So I am 50 dollars away from going to .10 plo. I will move back down if I lose 5 buyins. So I will try to get there by the end of january. Also, this weekend my friend got shot in the back and elbow leaving a bar in soulard st louis. Its scary to realize what kind of people are out there. Luckily he is going to make a full recovery but its scary still. I plan on playing a couple hundred hands tonight and Ill post results tomorrow.
